C. Rashad Spurgeon, is the founder and CEO of C. Rashad Ministries, an organization called to the act of "Restoring Lives, and Redirecting Focus" to the body of Christ. This young charismatic leader is a singer, songwriter, musician, and preacher. He is committed to the cause of Christ and will go above and beyond to please God.
During his early years, Spurgeon flourished as an organist playing for local recording artists and well-known preachers which further afforded him opened doors for his ministry to be advanced. Spurgeon went on to study at the illustrious Columbia International University, where he matriculated a dual Bachelors of Science degree in Music with a concentration in Piano Studies and Biblical Studies.
Rashad has been playing the piano, singing, and directing choirs since the age of eight years old. He gleamed most of his musical and spiritual training at his home church, Bethlehem Baptist Church, where Dr. Phillip M. Baldwin is pastor. Since the age of eleven, Spurgeon knew there was more to his life than just music, he knew that one day he would eventually preach God's Word. It is his belief that, according to Luke 4:18, "the spirit of The Lord is upon me, because He has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim freedom for the prisoners and recover the sight of the blind, and set the oppressed free."
In May of 2015, Minister Spurgeon was licensed by Faith Tabernacle of Spartanburg under the leadership of Dr. Brandon T. Whitehurst. At Faith Tabernacle of Spartanburg, he serves on the ministerial staff and the Minister of Worship and Arts. Spurgeon has also been afforded opportunities to serve other ministries, denominations, and independent fellowships for over ten years. Spurgeon has also been able to help assist on church planting/consulting teams across the state of South Carolina.
